Thank you for visiting Elemental Sound!
I’m Ali Yana Stewart, a Creative Therapist working in and around Wells, Somerset. I aim to provide an empathetic service to support you with your health and wellbeing - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

The main approaches I use to support clients are Music Therapy, Sound Therapy and Music and Imagery.
My approach is somatic and grounded in nature and I draw on learning from diverse trainings over the past 25 years in psychology and health psychology, energy work, meditation, movement practices and bodywork, to offer integrative support. Prior to working as a therapist, I worked in Health Research, Social Care, Health Coaching and Community Development.
I am a qualified Music Psychotherapist, with an MA in Music Therapy, and have worked with clients with a variety of needs - including those with dementia, a learning disability and anxiety and depression - in care homes, community settings and people's own homes.
Before becoming a music therapist, I undertook an extensive training in Sound Therapy, and have worked for years facilitating sound relaxation sessions for community groups and at retreats and other events. I also work individually with sound therapy, supporting people with a variety of health and wellbeing needs, including long term health conditions and palliative support.
Most recently, I have trained in Supportive Music and Imagery therapy, an approach that integrates speaking, breath, music-listening and creative expression (often through paper and colours) to help clients to increase their inner resources, strength and coping abilities.
Please see the music therapy and sound therapy and Music and Imagery pages for more information.
Please get in touch if you would like to talk about how we could work together.
